Founded in 1917 as the “Rheinische Apfelkrautfabrik,” the Van Nahmen company in Lower Rhineland began producing fruit juice in 1934, initially as a contract juice press. Even today, orchard owners in Lower Rhineland and the neighboring Münsterland region rely on them to process their apples, peaches, apricots, and pears into juice.

The third and fourth generations continue the tradition of renowned artisanal juice producers, pressing all local fruit varieties. This is the only way to guarantee production, from ripe fruit to the most exquisite juice. Their internal quality standards are far stricter than the requirements imposed by law. An effort worthwhile: in 2010, nineteen of Van Nahmen’s fruit juices received an award from the German Agricultural Association (DLG).
