Carloforte Tonnare’s red tuna in oil, the only one caught and canned in Carloforte’s ancient tuna factory, is genuine Thunnus thynnus, caught at the best time of year for its meat. Once processed, it is cooked in spring water. The tender, flavorful red meat is carefully preserved in olive oil and high-quality sea salt, where it retains its nutritional properties and acquires a more rounded and delicious flavor.
